PERFORMANCE UPDATE
All EdenPure XL and SunTwin Elite Quartz Infrared Heaters are equipped with a OPTIONAL dust filter on the rear of the unit when shipped from the factory. You can remove the rear filter, this will provide better air flow and get more usable warm air into your living space and will in no way harm or alter the operation of the heater.
If you have allergies or are sensitive to dust, we recommend that you continue to use the dust filter. IMPORTANT: The filter may need to be cleaned daily as a clogged filter will cause the heater to NOT work optimally.
NOTE: THESE HEATERS WORK BEST IF SET ON MEDIUM HEAT - DO NOT RUN ON HIGHEST SETTING FOR VERY LONG… OTHERWISE THE HIGH TEMP SAFETY SENSOR MAY SHUT THEM DOWN.
Solution: Should your heater stop working (usually caused by clogged dust filter) then you need to COMPLETELY Unplug the heater from the outlet for at least half hour (in a cool room) in order for the high heat safety switch to re-set itself automatically.
TROUBLESHOOTING
THE HEATER WILL NOT TURN ON
Make sure the power source is good and has a Good Snug Fitting Outlet. Plug in a lamp to see if it works correctly.
Make sure the front power switch is set to the “ON” position.
Unplug the power for 30 minutes. Plug the power back in and try operating the heater again. This will reset the internal sensors.
The heater is designed to be operated in temperatures less than 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The heater will not operate when the temperature is too high. Test the heater in a room that is below 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bring the heater inside to warm up for at least one hour before operating if it has been stored in a freezing or near freezing environment.
Make sure the filter is clean.
Remember, it will take a few minutes for the heater to warm up. The fan will start to blow after the heater has warmed up.
Do Not Move heater while it is HOT or operating because this could damage the heating elements... Please wait until heater cools off and shuts itself off.
THE HEATER WILL NOT TURN OFF
Make sure the power is “OFF” by pressing the front power switch to the "O" position.
Remember, the fan will continue to run until the heat chambers have cooled down. After a few minutes the fan will shut off automatically.
Unplug the power for 30 minutes. Plug the power back in and try operating the heater again. This will reset the internal sensors.
THE HEATER IS NOT HEATING THE ROOM PROPERLY
Make sure the filter is clean.
Unplug the power for 30 minutes. Plug the power back in and try operating the heater again. This will reset the internal sensors.
Try placing the heater on an interior wall.
Are you operating the heater in conjunction with your furnace? Remember the heater is designed for supplemental zone heating.
What type of floor is the heater on? Cement, tile and other similar floor types are porous surfaces that can absorb a lot more heat. This will increase the time needed to heat the room... Solution: Raise the heater 2 feet (or so) off the floor ... this will help.
Is the room well insulated? A room with little insulation or many windows will not retain the heat as efficiently.
